Which SEFA heat presses are available and which is the best for your needs?
Here you can find out everything you need to know if you want to get started with transfer printing and are interested in buying a manual, pneumatic or semi-automatic (large format) transfer press.
1. article types and transfer printing process
Depending on the type of article and transfer printing process, your press should be able to guarantee constant pressure distribution. In addition, a lower/higher wattage is required depending on the material thickness. Your press should have a higher wattage if you want to press slate, for example.
2. order volume
If you have a high order volume and therefore a lot of pressing processes, you should take a look at the Pro versions. These have more power and heat up more quickly. For an optimum workflow, it is also worth taking a look at the double presses. This means that the time during the pressing process can be used optimally for setting up on the additional plate.
3. space requirement
Our swing presses swing out with the upper part of the press to the right. This should not be underestimated when planning. If space is limited, the Slide series, which has a pull-out to the front, is an interesting option.
4. budget and comfort
If you have a more flexible budget, you should definitely take a look at the pneumatic presses. Triggering the pressing processes by pressing start buttons, using a foot pedal or even by specifying a cycle not only optimizes the workflow, but also offers convenience and considerable relief for the person at the press.

Here you work with two worktops, so you can use the time during the pressing process to set up on the additional plate. You can easily set the required contact pressure using the wheel next to the display, so you can guarantee consistent quality. Thanks to its increased heating capacity, the Duplex is also ideal for series production with short pressing times.

If you want to press smaller quantities and are looking for a press with a small footprint, then an angle-opening press (similar to a scissor movement) is the right choice. Please note that the pressure is greater at the back than at the front due to the type of opening.
