4. diode laser
The diode laser source is particularly suitable for cutting wood, MDF, paper, leather, felt and opaque acrylic. With a wavelength of approx. 455–1064 nm, they are ideal for these materials. Due to their compact design, diode lasers are often used in small laser cutting machines for hobby users and small businesses. Which laser source is suitable for which material? 5. Infrared laser
The infrared laser source is particularly suitable for engraving and marking metals, plastics and non-organic materials such as stainless steel, copper, gold, silver, titanium, acrylic, silicone, ABS and PVC. With a typical wavelength of 1064 nm, infrared lasers work precisely and allow fine details and clean markings. They are often used in industrial applications where the highest accuracy is required.
